I recently discovered Sally Clarkson's parenting books and have fallen in love with her grace infused style of writing. I was so excited to hear that she was releasing a book with her two daughters on the meaningful impact friendship can have on a woman's life. This book does not disappoint. It gives clear guidance and encouragement on how to handle some of the difficult aspects of friendships and how to overcome the loneliness so many of us feel in the depths of our souls. As a mom of four daughters, I loved hearing Sally's daughters insights on friendships in general, but especially on their friendship with their mom. Highly recommend this book!

In the preview chapters I received as part of the launch team I fell in love again with another Clarkson book! This timely and much needed book about the need for real, tangible, soul fulfilling friendships in a world that is profoundly lonely and longing for connection that just can't be reached through social media is absolutely amazing and needs to be shared with all! This book shares all 3 of their own personal journeys in friendship to encourage, challenge and inspire us all (married and single) to reach out to people in the real world and cultivate friendships and to understand that you can be loved, are loved, and can extend love to others because the creator of all things made you and loves you immensely. This was worth the wait!Ethan and Angie, Rachael and Peter, Jo, and Allen. We learn so much more about everyone and meet Allen for the first time. As the sisters hunt for a way to free Ethan from his curse, Angie herself is cursed. Can they find away to brake both curses and will Aunt Lydia reappearance cause a rift between the sisters

However it’s highly recommended you have someone fluent in Georgian to help you with pronounciation because the sounds can be difficult and bizarre to someone with no experience hearing the language, then again this book just proclaims to teach you to read, not speak, so I guess it’s good. It ain’t happening in 5 days, but if you are diligent you can definitely have everything memorized in 1-2 weeks.

I really enjoyed this book. It does exactly what it promises - it will help you to read (I.e.decipher) Georgian script within 5 days. If you're looking for a full-on language course, then this book isn't for you. However if you're looking to make reading Georgian script simple then this book does just that and makes it a lot easier than what I thought it would be. I went through it in one day and am amazed at how much I've picked up. The author does give some tips on pronunciation and so forth, but the aim is really to learn how to read the script and I think this book does a great job of it. Sentences I couldn't read this morning I can now read - I'm really impressed. The list of words at the back is a great bonus and is a mini-vocabulary builder which is a lovely touch.

it has been a challenge to find study/course materials for this most beautiful and unique language. it's great to run across something that doesn't cost 128$us!

It took me two days. This is a very easy intro to the Georgian alphabet. I am currently living in Tbilisi and learning to speak Georgian, but I used this book before I arrived to get a jumpstart!

Not sure if this will help but some of the writer's tips were beyond the point. I had already learned about 3/4 of the alphabet and felt my own system was better. It did not help me with the remaining letters I just could not master

Bought it for my Georgian boyfriend because he was going to visit his home country later on. He loves it. Definitely helping make learning Georgian simple.

My sons loved this book. Finds it very interesting without being scary to learn about this discovery of the mummified body. I read parts to my 4 year old as my 8 year old read along on his own. Good book for him to keep at his desk in school during free read because it keeps his interest and is challenging enough. We really like the leveled Step into Reading series.

My kids loved this book! They have both become very interested in non-fiction and this book is very interesting. This book is the right length that it can be finished in one seating, but still contains a great deal of fun facts. It describes one of the oldest mummies ever discovered and my kids loved that it contained many original, if somewhat gruesome, photos. It is very well written and is ideal for readers in the 2nd-3rd grade level. My kids have read this several times and still talk about it.

I was looking for Beginning Reading books about archeology for my 7 yo granddaughter as she’s interested in the subject. Unfortunately pictures were too graphic. I ended up not giving it to her.

Very interesting, informative, and my son loved it! It was a prefect and easy read for my 7yr old who couldn't put the book down.

Great non fiction book for my 7 year old Grandson. It is advanced non fiction topic, but with lots of pictures to keep his attention. Typical Step into Reading series style with controlled vocabulary. Step into Reading does a great job at providing higher level topics at easy reading levels. Many young kids want this kind of content. Price is excellent.

My son enjoyed this book and it was just right for his level. A little difficult, but not too hard that he couldn't get through it, and was able to learn from it. This one got him interested in the topic.

Seven-year-old asked for this. He first discovered it in his school library but wanted a copy to read at home, in his leisure. It is a used copy and had an inscription on the inside, which was consistent with the description from the seller. I'm happy with the purchase and the boy loves the content!

I wish there had been some reviews of this book before I bought it, might have saved me wasting my money on it! Looking at the picture on the front cover it looked perfect.I have a big dent in one of my cars just like the picture in the top left (although not quite as bad but very similar). I also had some minor rust that I wanted to repair in a similar spot on my rear fender just like the picture in the lower left. I figured if the book covered at least those two it would be worth the price paid. Well, the only place those pictures exist in this book is on the cover. The only dent that it shows how to fix is a VERY minor one that you can't even really see in the picture, they spend a lot of time showing how to take off all the door panel trim and then in the final picture just say to push it out with your thumb. For rust repair, they show how to take the fender off and replace it with one from a junk yard, no sandpaper or paint at all!There are excellent sections (NOT!) on how to vacuum out your trunk and how to clean floor mats, not to be outdone by how to remove stickers/decals, how to wash your car, and how to spray on engine degreaser and rinse it off. Sheesh.I've got quite a few MotorBooks Workshop books and so far they have all been great, not sure how this one slipped through the cracks, the publisher must have been out the day this one came in and so it was up to the intern (who obviously doesn't own a car) as to whether to publish it or not...If you've never owned a car before and have just bought one that needs a little cleaning up then this might be the book for you, if you've owned one for more that a couple months then I wouldn't bother. I don't think I've ever left a bad review before but I was so disappointed in this book that I didn't want anyone else to waste their money.

The projects chosen in the book are well rounded, but the problem is with how the content is presented. The wording is like someone who doesn't know very much about cars and gets somewhat off-subject at times. If it challenged the reader more it could have been a 4.5/5 book.

Well documented and illustrated with step by step photographs. Easy to understand and apply.

Very good reference book. Lots of good detail. Good addition to my extensive library. Used, but in very good shape.

I use to be a licensed sign language interpreter. My kids' friends keep asking me how to sign things and I am happy to tell them. So it was "secret reader day" at my son's kindergarten class and thought I would bring in a book where they could learn sign language. As I researched kid books with ASL, none of the reviews or descriptions really stated if they provided a story vs a reference guide. I bought this one and a few others and found that all the ones I purchased including this one provide a reference. If you are looking for a storybook with signs, this isn't for you. The references are good. Some may be hard to understand if you do not know sign language. My son will try the signs and then ask me if he is doing it correctly. It is educational but I was hoping for a bit of a storyline with it. Even a few words on each page. The best part about the book is that it provides a poster size alphabet reference guide.I am purchasing a few of these for Christmas gifts for my son's friends.

This is a great book – a brilliant analysis of the revolution in the roles that lawyers play inside the modern corporation. The book isn’t a memoir, but the story is told by the revolution’s leading figure, the legendary Ben Heineman, who took over the top lawyer’s job at GE as an outsider with an extraordinary reputation and retired having permanently changed the corporate world and the legal profession as we know them. The book details the wide-ranging roles that lawyers inside the corporation have increasingly come to play and that Heineman believes they must play to assure that corporations create value in far-reaching, legal and ethical ways. But the book is not just about lawyers and not just for lawyers. Because Heineman sees the role of inside counsel as so wide-ranging, his book is also an outstanding overview of the vast and diverse roles that the large modern corporation plays. It thus becomes a uniquely important book in illuminating the complex, global and indispensable world of business more generally.

This is a great book. The only book I know that describes the job of insider counsel. I have given it many people and as a general counsel, I refer to it often.

Ben Heineman's book "The Inside Counsel Revolution" is the best book ever written for GCs, not only because Ben Heineman has a great vision but also because he explains how and why every company (thus everyone) should implement it. Following his former 2008 book "High Performance with High Integrity", Ben Heineman goes far beyond and develops his vision on capitalism and the central role of GCs who should not only serve corporation but also the entire society playing the "lawyer-statesman" role. GCs, in-house lawyers and outside counsels should read this great book, because the Revolution is not over!
